first of all, let me confess something.
i LOVE sweet potato pie. way more than pumpkin pie. way more.
yesterday, we had a celebration for the ending of Black History Month at my church with gospel music, homemade fried chicken, black eyed peas, cornbread and homemade sweet potato pies! oh yes! i just about died! soooo good.
and my family got to bring one of the extra pies home, so of course I had a slice tonight. (while eating a piece i told my dad that I was going to have it at my wedding... he laughed :] )
on another note, me and my dad found out today that his stereo doesn't work :( which means it's going to be a while 'till I hear my records. bummer... but! ima keep on shopping for that vinyl! why not, right?

I for some reason always thought I didn't like sweet potato pie, until I got a random craving to make it for one of our college-roommate-thanksgivings... and now I'm obsessed too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger I told MY dad that I wanted to have pie at my wedding instead of cake. He said that as long as it was frosted, that was okay with him.
