today...

is the last day of the first decade of this century. woa.

or you could just say it's new years eve. :)
new years eve means...
twilight zone marathons on the SciFi channel,

and our church's annual new year's eve dance--the theme this year? decades!
i'm very excited because me and my sister are going 90s.. nothing but overalls, knitted sweaters, scrunchies and layered tights with tube socks--holy marykate and ashley!

what is your new year's eve handing you this fine evening?

*gulp*, help!

ahh!

this is exactly what i feel like. trapped inside the dreaded box.
and i have to write a *gulp* SPEECH.
and to top that, it has to be a persuasive speech. So not only do i hate speeches, but persuasive speeches are the worst. Now, don't get me wrong--i can aptly voice my opinion. but, i hate doing it to a room of blank-faced drones who are only listening to me because they have to.

anywho--my topic. I am thinking about speaking on how children's creativity should be better nurtured throughout school. I have heard amazing speeches on TED.com
but. i figured that here would be a great place to hear other creative minds' opinions on what they think about the topic.

so please. i want to hear what you have to say!

i love this picture.

i really do :)

if only...

haven't you ever watched a movie or tvshow and fallen in love with the way a character acts, looks, or dresses? I find this happening to my all the time. I can't but think--if only they were real, if only I could just talk with them or hang out with them... it may be silly, but i like silly.

in this post, i will show 10 male characters, in no particular order (yes, some are animated--haha), that I wish lived in reality.

4. Peter Pan

5. Sam

6. Duckie

8. Wybie

9. Edward....
Scissorhands :)

10. Ash

I hope y'all are inspired by this post to make one of your own :)
and if you do, make sure to send me a link down in the comments!

"Christmas... it's practic'ly here!"
and i can't believe it. however, in a way, i'm relieved... there have been so many times that I have almost told people what i've gotten them! I can't wait for them to open the gifts i made them :)

off to bake another pumpkin cheesecake roll, watch Miracle on 34th Street, and get ready for christmas eve service

joyeux noel.

Joyeux Noel is probably one of my favorite (more serious) christmas movies. It is truly a sensational (and true) story that takes place during christmas, World War I. It may be odd to say, but I love war movies.... and this is a great one.

One reason I love this movie is because it follows all three sides of the front, and in all of the three native languages--French, German and British.
A must see.

merry christmas eve eve eve!

oh boy... I have been baking so much lately, and I love it :)
coconut candy bars,

sugar cookies made with super cool 3D cookie cutters :)

mmmmmm.

i love baking at christmastime--I bake cookies and other goodies as christmas presents for friends and such.
my favorite are definitely the coconut candy bars, they're fairly easy to make too! (I substitute the almonds for hazelnuts because i love hazelnuts)
however, if you're nut much of a baker... peppermint bark is by far one of the easiest things to make--and it's super yummy to give as gifts, or have for christmas guests!

oh, copeland...

:(

Brittany Murphy died this morning, December 20th, after suffering a heart attack. She was only 32 years old... it is truly a tragedy.

I was just talking to some classmates the other day about how much I loved her appearance as Molly Gunn in Uptown Girls. I could seriously watch the whole entire movie just to see her and Dakota Fanning work together.

and the see my favorite scene:

RIP.

bonjour...

it is me, eloise!

the first thing I did when I woke up was watch Eloise at Christmas time... one of my very favorites :) and since then, i've been watching christmas movies all day long (there are just too many to watch during the christmas season, don't cha know...) some being Charlie Brown's Christmas, Silent Night (about world war II) and To Grandmother's house we go (with the olsen twins... another one of my favorites). What are some that you have watched/are looking forward to watching?

I can't believe there is only a few more days until christmas!

loving this season.
