...EASTER! i don't know if you remember... but i've been without french fries and tortilla chips (my two addictions) for almost 40 days and on easter, i can finally eat them! yummm. (i may as well mention, that my school makes amazing french fries and the scent of them fills the entire campus.. ugh!)

RIP Corey Haim

I could not believe my eyes this morning as I was woken up by a text message which read "Corey Haim died! :(" to which my mind responded to with a big, loud "WHAAAAT!?" seriously, my heart skipped a beat. And I know, I know.... I wasn't even alive when he was popular. but sometimes, I think I was born 10 years later than I really should have been and that's probably why I'm such a big 80's movie buff. But it is just so sad when someone like Corey battles something their entire life and ends up losing... heartbreaking, really.... but i'll keep on watching his movies and never forget his cute little face :)

I'M BAAAAAACK!

first of all, thanks for all the concern about my crashed computer... and yes, i had withdrawals. haha! When my dad took my computer in and found out that all of the insides needed to be replaced I think my heart stopped a little. ouch!
anywho, it's been a week. a WEEK without my computer and I'm finally back! and SO many wonderful things happened... maybe I should go without a computer more often.... hahahaha, PSYCH.

but anyways... let us recap:

1. I FINALLY got to see my friends after a month. a month! that's a long time!

we hung out at their school,

went on a joy ride,

while singing along to Taylor the Latte Boy and various Passion Pitt songs... (don't we just look adorable?... not!)

ate like teenagers,

and saw a cute old man with a cute old car!

2. I got my Record Player and stereo set up!

and it sound sooo good.

4. I've compiled a list of records that I want :) there's way more than pictured here.

5. I went thrift store shopping and found this cuuute thermos

well, that's the highlights! hope your week was as good as mine was... and i gotta tell ya, it's good to be back! Hopefully I can catch up on reading some of y'alls blogs too :)

this morning... my computer... crashed. gasp!

um, my computer is my life. now, I don't want to sound like one of those people... but its true! ALL of my homework has to be typed... no exceptions.

anywho... enough whining. i just wanted to inform you of my predicament (don't you love that word?) in case I can't blog for a couple days (unless I steal my mom's computer for a few minutes, like now). But I wanted to give a quick shout to all of my new (and old) bloggers! so... "HEYYY!"

first of all, let me confess something.

i LOVE sweet potato pie. way more than pumpkin pie. way more.

yesterday, we had a celebration for the ending of Black History Month at my church with gospel music, homemade fried chicken, black eyed peas, cornbread and homemade sweet potato pies! oh yes! i just about died! soooo good.

and my family got to bring one of the extra pies home, so of course I had a slice tonight. (while eating a piece i told my dad that I was going to have it at my wedding... he laughed :] )

on another note, me and my dad found out today that his stereo doesn't work :( which means it's going to be a while 'till I hear my records. bummer... but! ima keep on shopping for that vinyl! why not, right?

this story was destined to be turned into a Tim Burton film... and i'm not gonna lie... I never like the Walt Disney version because I couldn't understand why they would turn a Lewis Carroll book into a kid's movie...? just never made sense to me.
